|
|
Hello, I am playing black in game 11027 and seem to be confused about the market scoring income. I have played animal tiles connecting to a market twice over the last two turns but did not recieve the pesos that I interpret I should have expected.
Two turns ago I played a horse tile to connect 10 land tiles to a market. I expected to recieve 11 pesos in income but only recieved 2.
In the latest turn I had a land chain that is 10 tiles long, plus played 2 animal tiles to connect to a market. I expected to recieve 12 pesos in income but only recieved 2.
Am I misunderstanding the rules or is there something wrong here? |

I'd guess you are playing scoring variant 1, not the basic game.
In scoring variant 1 (as described in the rules), your income is the number of animals in the herd, multiplied by the number of land times those animals physically touch.
In your examples, I'm pretty sure you'll find that the animals are only touching 1 single land tile, so you have received 1*1 and 2 * 1 gold respectively.
There are a couple of other scoring differences, read the rules to find out about them. |
