Rules

In the first round, each player will play one 4 player game of each of the eight SBW offerings.

For first place he/she will be awarded 12 points, second 6, third 2 last 0.
Ties (as per game rules) will share the points (eg tie 2/3 both get 4 points).

The top four players will progress to a final, again of 1 of each game, scored in the same way. Ties in overall scoring will be broken by comparing games they both competed in only. If that does not split ties, then scores will be removed starting with Amun Re, Bus until a winner emerges.

Each game is to be the basic variant

so

Amun Re - no comment
Bus - no comment
Hacienda - map 1 no variants
Hoity Toity - no comment
Reef Encounter - not advanced
Santiago - basic setup, no palms
Tikal - not auction but DO TICK End to end movement (as this should be the default!)
Wallenstein - basic (preassigned)

For the draw, I have seeded players for each different game based on win%, number of games played if win% is zero and average all game win% if #played games is zero.

Game 1 is seed 1, 10, 11, 20
Game 2 is seed 2, 9, 12, 19 etc

This does mean that you will play some players a few times and other possibly not at all. (I spent ages trying to get a reasonable 12 player draw last night and then more players joined!)

I believe everybody has been in at least one tournament before so you should know the process - anyone can set up the games, please use the exact name, put the players names in the comments, use correct variant and select 4 players. Password for all games to be multi - note some games have been set up using tournament as password - you can try this if multi doesn't work {edited to clarify password }

In my rush to gain the bonus points I missed the change of password. All games have been set to password tournament (some have joined already). I have recreated the Wally game with password multi.

Many apols I just got overexcited as the structure of this tourney.

Damn, I just realised I lost 50 bonus points by not reading Gads post properly. I guess that means if I lose I can blame Gad not my playing ability.

If all this sounds a bit nonsensical I apologise I just got back from the pub, great night BTW.

REMINDER if playing a non Wally game with me use password tournament.

Excellent - all games are up and running.

Only issues were tphon's guess the password competition and payton trying to avoid playing yet another game with me in Hacienda (we have 6 out of 8 in common due to the seeding so I don't blame him!). I will include 302a in the scoring.

Any bets on which set of games will finish first - Reef?

If anyone is playing hacienda and it's slow - do try downloading the firefox browser - it is so much faster than IE.

Thanks Nuno, after reading a number of posts I have now switched to firefox and am very pleased with the improved performance. I have not had the message problem since but sounds even better if that might be cured aswell.

Will Firefox also help me get the password correct

This is getting a little offtopic and I'd hate to hijack the thread, but the real power of firefox comes from extensions. Search around and you'll understand what I'm saying.
