Can the dominance of the Australians be broken?
Come and find out in the fourth implementation of the 2 player Hacienda tournaments here on SBW.
In the previous 3, there has only been one occasion when a non Australian has defeated Rebel or myself, and Rebel maintains it was because he fell asleep at the wheel.
Personally I'm sure my good run has to end soon. Many of my games have been 2-1 victories...
Sign up here to take on this challenge... No change to format. For those who haven't played before:
Knockout tournament
Each player plays 3 matches against his opponent, all on the same map, with a no variant, var 1, and a var 2 game. Map changes each round.
Players seeded on past 2 player performances in tournaments.
Please no long absences in the next 4-6 weeks.
I'll expand the losing half of the draw this time. Every player gets to keep playing until he has lost two matches or won the tournament. So first round losers will play amongst themselves. The winners of those matches will be joined by the second round losers from the main draw, and so on.

I was planning to fall asleep again ... but ... I guess I'd better keep supporting the Australians!
I'm back for another round! |

I'd join, but only if the draw for this will be after April 7 (or close enough to that date that my first opponent won't mind a delayed start). |

I'm in. Can't do worse than I'm doing in the current 3 player tournament.
Actually, scratch that. As much as I'd like to, my wife is expecting a baby soon and I probably already in too many tournaments.

I'll play. It looks like Australia will not have been rocked this hard since they introduced Bufo marinus in the 1930s. |
