Yes, you can't win the tourney once you've lost a game.
I'll work the uneven numbers out as I go along.
The loser's half of the draw was setup after a couple of requests, as it's a long time between tournaments if you are eliminated early. It may prove simpler to go back to the last tournament's format. |

Early_10 vs shampoon -
Early_10 wins 2-1.
2 player T4 G10 A went down to the wire..decided by money.
Early_10 204 $15 (-0)
shampoon 204 $24 (winner)
2 player T4 G10 B was the only lopsided game, sticking to 2 markets and grabbing 3 haciendas before the first scoring gave me a nice lead.
shampoon 153 (-43)
Early_10 196 (winner)
2 player T4 G10 C was another nail biter with me only gaining in the second last round.
Early_10 158 (winner)
shampoon 152 (-6)
Excellent games shampoon. |

If you lose a game, you still continue in the tourney, but you're playing for what?
In tourney games it's all about fighting for the victory of the whole tourney. If you miss that chance, there really isn't much to play for. |

not playing for anything specific. A few people requested something like this, I suppose it's worth a general question about whether people want it to continue?
It may be that especially with the league starting up that the losers bracket becomes redundant. |

Looking at the poll results at least half the players aren't interested in playing in the loser's half of the draw, I can understand that, I voted no myself..
I think that there's not much point continuing the current format beyond this tournament. I'll finish the exising B side for those who want to. |

2 player T4 R2 G7B Praisechick vs. Wildscrpio
No Variant:
Praisechick: 158 Wildscrpio: 158 (winner)
I won by money, I had $20 and Praise had $0
Variant 1:
Praisechick: 106 Wildscrpio: 109 (winner)
again it was money that pushed me over the edge...
Variant 2:
Praisechick: 129 (winner) Wildscrpio: 125
I was on the run the entire game never being able to catch up!
Wildscrpio won the round 2-1 but not by much it was 3 very close games! |
