|
|
The second Multi Challenge for 3 tournament is drawing to a close.
I thought I would try something slightly different for the next one.
I will add a small variant to each game, which should alter the gameplay a little in each case.
As an example, in Amun Re the bonus for money at the end of round six will be negative (ie instead of adding 6,4,2 to the score, I will deduct 6,4,2 from the score).
Otherwise the format will remain the same - one game of each 6,2,0 for 1st 2nd 3rd.
Please sign up here if you wish to give it a go. |

OK, I'll try. As long as one of the variants isn't that your final score is multiplied by your win/loss ratio... |

I'll give it a try... Auction Tikal? Seems like there's a lot of resistance to that, but maybe for the variant tournament it'll fit in ok? |

We really need about 9 players to make this viable. Anyone else fancy a go?
As you only play each game once, it should not be too painful if one or two of the variants don't work particularly well. |

I'd be willing to give it a go, but haven't been in any tournaments before. Could you explain the format of this one a little, or link me to a thread of the previous multi-challenges where it's already explained?
Thanks.
Edit: Also, this is perhaps the last place I expected to find a game/tourney signup, perhaps a post in the game forums or something linking to this thread would get the extra few people needed? |

I had a list somewhere which I have mislaid so the following is from memory and may change slightly.
Amun Re - money at end is negative
Bus - longest route gets a bonus of 5 points
Hacienda - Markets don't count for score - will be v2 so no half time score
Hoity Toity - Best collection is -8 and next best is -4 (rather than +8, +4) at end
Reef - yellow corals count double in final scoring.
Santiago - banana points count double
Tikal - treasures don't count (in practice 4 x treasures at end knocked off score)
Wally - bonus of 3 x (1,3,6,10,15 for each region you have a province in at the end - eg if you have a province in 4 different regions you get a bonus of 30) - should encourage expansion! |

We will go with nine players on this - a nice round (square) number.
Watch out for the draw which should appear later today. |
