In Xealots uberallis Summer Year 1 gold was to be raised in Burgund. Burgund was attacked and lost, but then recaptured before the gold action was reached. However the text says Burgund has been lost and income denied.

The rules seem mute on this point. Is this correct?

The moment you lose a territory, you have to give its ownership card to the conqueror. So in the boardgame, you lose that action, even if you regain the territory in the same round (you get the card back, but you are not allowed to put it on the action space again).

Yes, those ungrateful wretched peasants refuse to cough up their taxes when your armies come marching back in. Very Happy

In the marketing of territories, land resources are considered as an area as a whole, on which the life activity of the society is carried out, and as identified land plots for various purposes of use, including investment sites, having area, borders, location, legal status, price, and other characteristics

The best outcome is a draw, a result with no loser. But, we are reflexively "sharpened to win" - we prefer to be the winner, who can be proud of it (gets everything). All of this strengthens the inner desire to win - to be better. The most challenging thing is that emotional superiority is "mixed in" with this, but there is often material reward as well. Many things mobilize and motivate us to win. I remember when we played strike ball on a couple of acres. If you don't know what an acre is, you can find it out at parentportfolio.com. And most importantly, it was not to win but to participate for us.
