We now have 20 entrants which is a good number for a 4 player tourney, so I will get it underway.
The scoring will be:
1) Exactly 8 points after round 3. 5 points
2) Exactly 25 points after round 6. 10 points
3) Exactly 24 points after round 6. 6 points
4) Less than 24 points after round 6. 3 points
5) An additional 6 points to be shared among those who score exactly 25 points, if any.
6) Score for over 25 - Nil
Ties in overall scoring will be broken by drawing lots (you will have to trust me!).
Top 8 will go into semi finals, which will consist of 3 games between places 1,4,5,8 and 3 games between 2,3,6,7. The top two from each semi final group (same scoring as above), ties broken by finishing order from group stage, will go through to the final, again of 3 games. Ties in the final will result in joint champions.

A request - If your games are not all set up when you join please create the missing ones. This makes it much easier for me to check which games/players are missing and should also mean games start closer together. (Everyone will be in 5 games)

| If you have exactly 8 after round 3, but you get more than 25 total, do you get no points or 5 points? |

All Semi A games are finished and the results are:

36 HighwayStar

Hence Kanga and NoMoreCheese progress to the final.
There have been some problems with Semi B. daveszum forgot that the games were scored on a different basis and after realising the situation his subsequent play so distorted the position that I have had to call the games void for the purpose of this competition. The other three semifinalists will play a one off 3 player game to decide who makes the final.
Apologies to Kanga and NoMoreCheese for the delay. |

The 3 player play-off for Semi B has ended.
Legalu and Gaditus progress. rseulow lost out by virtue of missing the 8 point 3rd round target as all players made 25.

Scores were

Kanga 36.5
NoMoreCheese 32.5
One of the finals was the perfect game, all four scoring 8/25.
Well played all - I intend to run another tournament along the same lines at some future date. |
