Oh go on then, I keep checking this thread anyway, I may as well sign up. Smile I believe I'm about 60th something signup, are we getting close now?

I don't know how many England's / UK's there are, but perhaps there is still a free space in one of those teams?

If not then perhaps Russia, Australia, or an english speaking time (outside of the US if possible, hehe, they don't need any help lol.)

- Steve

P.S. I'm a little unclear on the singles, it sounds like teams can have multiple members qualify for the semis, but that each person is working on their own for their own victory too? Just checking, it sounds good. Smile

rorshaq: You are now the property of Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio! Molto bene!

rico: The ANZACs need you more than Blighty does.

As for format, if we can get to the magic 64, the current thinking is this:

4 Divisions with 4 teams of 4 players each.

In each Division, each player plays one 4-player game against one player from the other Division teams (players would be seeded based on SBW record so that #1s face #1s, #2s face #2s etc.). That's 16 round 1 games.

Scoring would be:

3 pts for 1st place
1 pt each for 2nd and 3rd place
0 pts for last place

After the first round, the top 2 teams from each division (8 in all) move to a SemiFinal round, where again each player is in one game (that's 8 more games).

The top 4 teams coming out of the Semis will have one Final round, which will either be another round of 4 games OR possibly a single game with the best overall finisher from each team qualifying.

If people have alternate ideas or suggestions, I'm open to hearing them.

We have a few extra players from the Lake Erie region as it turns out.

Are any of folks from Buffalo willing to cross Niagara and represent for Canadia?

<cheap shot>
After all, your football team will be doing that soon enough.

Lol, I had to ask my mum what Anzac meant. Smile Now I need to find my team-mates, although time difference will make things interesting, hehe.

I take it there is no team for Elbonia? Very Happy

I can't believe Team Gloucestershire is full ...and after getting a personal invitation to join, and some young whipersnaper comes along and takes the last spot.

I didn't think that you would want to play for Gloucester, after moving there so recently. Surely you would want to play for worcester, after all it is part of your name

Hahah, Finland pwns! Actually I was thinking if we have to make team Scandinavia. The players should represent their geographic location, or what's the big idea? If not, then you're warmly welcome to join team Finland. Very Happy
