Hello all,
Last year's tournament was fun, so I'm setting up a second one and hope to turn this into an annual (or maybe more) event.
16 player tournament, four semifinals with four winners feeding into one final game.
Eligibility determined by number of wins - minimum 40 wins (32 players currently meet that requirement). First 16 to sign up within that group are in. If I do not get 16 players from that group I will start lowering the threshold until it fills up. Think of it like the game show Jeopardy and its TOC - the top players get invited back for a special tourney.
Auction version. It's a Champions Tournament - its supposed to be more challenging.
Draw is set up NCAA tourney style. When I have 16 players I'll seed them according to their rank at that time. 1-8-9-16 in one semi, 2-7-10-15, 3-6-11-14, 4-5-12-13 for the others.
In case of a tie in the semis, player with most pieces off-board advances. Should it still be a tie, largest capped temple. After that, total value of tikis.
brianlcarr (Brian) and bogey (Paul) have already indicated they wish to play, so I need 13 more names from the players with 40 wins.
Thanks,
Chris Terrell |
