Could all players please click on the link "Watch this topic for replies" on the bottom left of this screen so they will be informed of any updates!

6 divisions of 8 players each again this season. General setup is identical to last season.

5 new players all in Division F, everyone else ranked according to last season's performances.

For the benefit of those new to the format, you will play a match against each player in your division one each. Each match is a series of 3 games on the same map. These games are a no variant, variant 1, and a variant 2 game.

Each round will be started approximately 9 days after the previous one.

Game names are listed below, please copy and paste. This is important so I can find the games easily on the current and completed game screen!

If you put V0, V1 and V2 after the names of the respective games then I'll find it easier to accurately record results.

If you are going away for a period of time, please make sure you put your away sign up so I know.

Password is always: tournament

No need to report results, I will check them and post updated ladders in this thread.

I might need a replacement for cps, who is not making any efforts to play faster despite assurances he will. Alternatively I'll just have a 6 player division in division B.

bump, only about 10 players have signed up so far. Please check this forum regularly to make sure you see the new round postings. You can tick a box on the bottom left of the screen so you get emails letting you know when there is an update.

Let me know if you like or dislike the maps we've just played on. In particular, in the round 2 game, the winner took one particular position in all 3 of my games, and I'd be interested if anyone found that too...

In 2 of our 3 games the centre spot has been completely ignored!

In the third, taking it has proven to be costly as a water block stopped access to the markets from that area, so I'm not sure that the spot is as much of a bonus as it looks. In fact the bottom right single land spot looked initially like it might be as powerful but that also seems not to be the case.

Certainly not a game winning position in our games.

I think it is a great map with lots of different options. No one best option which is great as I hate those sorts of maps!

It's a great map if you get all the right animals and land right when you need it. If you have to waste a turn drawing face down land or animals you lose so much tempo it's almost unrecoverable. There is so little land you have to have the exact land in one area or there aren't any other useful options.

it'd be easier for me if people checked this forum occasionally.. the games start at pretty regular intervals.

a couple of days late, due to my inattention..

Most R2 games are complete along with many R3.

My main headache is what to do about cps, who keeps telling me he will play faster and that he wants to stay in the league

however given his track record I wont include him in the rest of this season's games unless he catches up (which seems unlikely). League B will have a bye instead.
