27/32
7 68 cpsof95
6 56 Dobinator
8 56 Gaditus
8 48 NoMoreCheese
7 42 mongo
7 42 tphon
7 38 kekeweb
7 34 Pompkin
7 28 freduk
6 24 shampoon
5 20 ahauwi1
7 20 Payton3434
7 18 ats2630
7 16 jglazier
7 16 Wolfpack
5 14 danbar1963
The top three have qualified for the final and in theory any one of 5 could take the fourth spot.
However we have a problem!

Again, my apologies. |
Unfortunately no one in this game thought they ought to start another one, and I didn't spot it until recently. I waited for a few more results to come in to see if it was going to be relevant. It is still possible that it will not affect the top 4 (if mongo wins the last Santiago game), but it could be important.
I suggest that the four players involved start another game now as there are still a few outstanding games with some time to run, and the final will be stalled anyway as I will be away for most of August.
The four players are
tphon, ahauwi1, Wolfpack, shampoon
game name Multi Challenge 163 x password tournament
If this substitute game is going to finish too far behind the others, I will make a (necessarily arbitary) decision on the result to complete the group stage of the tournament. |

I have set this up after making an initial error, The Amun Re game is now Multi Challenge 163 xA
Please ignore the Santiago game Multi Challenge 163 x which I can not delete while in work as the delete page gets blocked by our firewall.
I will delete this when I get home. |

8 18 ats2630
7 16 Wolfpack
8 16 jglazier
Two games to go - one not yet started - see above.
By winning the last game, mongo would take the last spot in the final (beating tphon on the tie breaker if necessary). Otherwise game 163 would be relevant to decide finalists and if it is not nearly finished by the end of August I will make some arbitary decision to take the tournament forward. |

Just the position I was hoping not to get to
The final game is the one that danbar joined by mistake instead of ahauwi1. If tphon were to win, he would take 4th spot from kekeweb.
tphon did win the game including danbar, but ahauwi1 has a better Amun Re record than danbar so tphon would have been less likely to have won the intended match up.
I am going to toss a coin between tphon and kekeweb, and ...

... kekeweb goes through along with cpsof95, Dobinator and Gaditus.
I will set the games up shortly. |

The final game has now been played and the final table is:
32/32
8 80 cpsof95
8 60 Dobinator
8 56 Gaditus
8 50 kekeweb
8 48 tphon
8 48 shampoon
8 48 mongo
8 48 NoMoreCheese
8 40 Pompkin
8 36 ahauwi1
8 28 freduk
8 26 danbar1963
8 22 Payton3434
8 18 ats2630
8 16 Wolfpack
8 16 jglazier
... so the correct 4 are in the final. It was quite close for 5th however! |

The final is over and:
c D G k
12 02 06 00 Amun Re
02 12 00 06 Bus
12 02 06 00 Hacienda
06 00 12 02 Hoity
06 02 12 00 Reef
02 09 00 09 Santiago
12 02 06 00 Tikal
02 06 12 00 Wally
54 35 54 17 Total
So it is a tie between cpsof95 and Gaditus.
Ties are decided by removing games from the top so removing Amun Re leaves Gaditus (me ) as the winner.
I would like to thank my fellow finalists, especially Dobinator and kekeweb who managed to push cps down to third in the last game to finish (Bus). I would also like to thank all competitors for a wonderful competition and ... (bursts into tears).
(Sign up for the next 3 player tourney now) |

Congratulations!
I think this multi-challenge is an interesting test of skill, a tour-de-france type of continuous success required for victory. Well done! |

Thanks for running it, Gad. I'm just amazed I won Bus against finalists - that nearly never happens. Only my 3rd Bus win.
These are interesting - Hoity is pretty random, and Wallenstein seems to have a big luck factor with the tower. Santiago can be luck-affected, too, but the others seem mostly skill-based. Bus I haven't figured out yet. |
