I've integrated this FAQ into the main site's existing FAQ under the heading: "Joining and Creating Games". The main FAQ can be accessed by the link at the top of the screen and also now on the games page menu bar.

1. How do I join a game?
Click on the "Games List" link (here) from the main menu then click the "Join" link on the game you wish to join. Some games will require a password.

2a. Why are all the games password protected?
Most of the games waiting to start will show that they require a password. This is because games with no password required fill so quickly they don't stay on the list very long. In fact, most of the games on SBW don't have a password required.

2b. What do I do if there's no game available to join?
Create one.

3. How do I create a game?
a) Click on the Create Game link (here) from the main menu and click on the game you wish to create. Choose any unique name for you game (required) and enter a description if you like.

b) The Comment field can be used to suggest what skill level or speed you'd like to see from people who join your game -- but keep in mind that if you don't set a password, anyone can join your game. Any suggested requirements in the comment field are not enforceable.

c) Setting a password on a game restricts who can join your game and allows friends to create and play games within a closed group. It is common for a particular group to establish a standard password for all of their games.

d) You can limit the number of players for a particular game by checking the appropriate boxes. If you're only interested in a 5-player game then uncheck every box except '5'.

e) Some games will have other options, such as variants, to choose from.

f) When you're done click on the Submit button and the game will be created and you will be automatically joined.

4. How do I start a game?
Only a game's creator can start a game. To do so click on "Your Games" from the main menu, then on the option "Your Games Waiting To Start." From that page you can click on "Start Game" to start any game that has the minimum number of players.

Once a game is started, players can no longer join.

If the maximum number of players join a game it will automatically be started.
