Have you ever noticed that there is more negative news about vaping in the mainstream media on any given day than there is about smoking? The UK’s Public Health England has publicly acknowledged since 2016 that vaping is 95 percent less harmful than smoking, yet the disinformation campaign being waged daily by vaping hating activists is causing millions of Americans to wrongly believe that e-cigarettes are just as deadly as combustible tobacco. Here is a short list of three, peer-reviewed, scientific studies which undeniably prove that vaping saves lives.
1. SECOND-HAND E-CIGARETTE VAPOR IS NOT LACED WITH FORMALDEHYDE.
The formaldehyde myth was perhaps the first successfully promoted conspiracy theory to hit the vaping community on an international scale. First appearing in social and mainstream media as far back as 2015, the rumor began when a research paper was published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) making this outlandish claim. However, immediately following its publication, academics and scientists from around the world began peer-reviewing the research.
Apparently, it was quickly determined that the co-authors of the bogus study had either accidentally or intentionally cranked up the heating temperatures of the vaping device used in the experiments to unreasonable heights that no human could comfortably endure. Calls for retraction soon followed, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) even disproved the formaldehyde theory by publishing its own study entitled Evaluation of Chemical Exposures at a Vape Shop available via the CDC website.
2. SWITCHING TO VAPING FROM SMOKING REDUCES EXPOSURE TO CARCINOGENS.
In the early days of the vaping craze, many public health officials tried to argue that if smokers want to quit, then they should simply use conventional nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) like patches, gums, and lozenges. Of course, millions of smokers had already tried these Big Pharma products and found them patently ineffective.
When Dr. Maciej L. Goniewicz of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York released a study focusing on the comparable toxicities of conventional NRTs and vaping, the world was shocked to learn that the vapor produced by electronic cigarettes reduces the user’s exposure to cancer-causing pathogens by as much as 95 percent. The research entitled Exposure to Nicotine and Selected Toxicants in Cigarette Smokers Who Switched to Electronic Cigarettes: A Longitudinal Within-Subjects Observational Study is published via the Oxford Academic Nicotine and Tobacco Research.
3. Switching to vaping improves lung functions of asthmatic smokers.
Until recently, smokers living with asthma faced an almost impossible choice. They would continue to smoke, knowing full-well that smoking was shortening their lifespan by several years with every succeeding puff. They could choose to quit smoking either through the cold-turkey method or some highly stressful yet grossly ineffective NRT, which would likely only exacerbate their asthma symptoms further. Or they could switch to 95 percent less harmful vaping.
Luckily, 2014 research published by Dr. Riccardo Polosa of the Institute of Internal Medicine and Clinical Immunology at the University of Catania, Italy, indicates that switching to vaping can reverse lung damage in asthmatics while also reducing the severity and frequency of asthma-related attacks. The study entitled Effect of Smoking Abstinence and Reduction in Asthmatic Smokers Switching to Electronic Cigarettes: Evidence for Harm Reversal is still readily available via the US National Library of Medicine. |

Great post, I wish more people could read it and finally stop blaming vaping and vape devices. I must admit smoking awfully affected my breathe and well being in general, I recovered only thanks to vaping and Vision Spinner 3 battery. |
