Four games left to play, and very little decided, with places 2-4 still up for grabs.
And I'd like to take a second to congratulate Nokhor26 for an unprecedented and impressive 4 victories against what I believe to be increasingly tough competition. It's been an impressive run, winning the Wally Four tourney, and being at the top of the tables of both Four and Five. Well done Sir. |

nice tournament again.
Made quick calculation and I think you will need a second tiebreaker for me and lukewarren, both -41.
Direct clash results (lukewarren) or total score (probably me)???
Anyway, thanks for organisation.
And grats nokhor26, impressive: just confirm your skills in final |

Toutoune, your quick math is better than usual first attempt . The lost-by points between you and lukewaren are indeed tied at 41. However, Klingone (Wally Five 10) still has the chance of saving me from my lack of foresight by knocking the both of you out with a victory in the last game.
That said, the Head-to-Head result seems to me to be the correct way to go in this situation - partially because points have already been leveraged once as a tie-breaker, but mainly because with 16 players we have a situation where everyone plays each other exactly once, which is ideal for a head-to-head determination. And I'll endeavor to spell out multiple tie-breaks ahead of time for future tourneys. |

Well, even if I do make it into the final, I am sure to be crushed by the nokhor26, rseulow, and yahkeh. I am no match for any of them!
If I do not make it, I want to congratulate everyone for a fine tournament and great play. |

I wouldn't see it that way - when I snuck into the first ever Wally final (by a hair over -of all players- toutune) I was the outsider/nobody/underdog and none of the other players payed much attention to me so I was able to edge out a win..... why shouldn't you?????

My experience is that in the Advanced set-up, more often than not, you win or lose on the starting position.
So just draw those right, and you're bound to win! |

True, the two games I lost I had terrible starting position. The games I won I had solid starting position. But it would help if no one paid attention to me!
Assuming, of course, that I sneak into the finals. |

Klingone was unable to overcome whatever religion obisbo99 was spreading Wally 10 (that was a lot of Churches owned), so lukewarren remains the fourth entrant for the final match. Good luck to you all.
Name: Wally Five Final
Players: Nokhor26, yahkeh, rseulow, lukewarren
Password: final
And of course, select Advanced option. For the rest of us, expect a new tourney to be running in about 20 days, give or take. |

Three different opponents, but one similar Finals result - Nokhor26 takes the Wally Five Final game in commanding fashion:
62 - nokhor26
46 - rseulow
38 - lukewarren
33 - yahkeh
As always, thank you all for participating and making these as fun as they are. Hope to see you in future tourneys.

Correct me if I am wrong, but should not rseulow be at 46, me at 38, and yahkeh at 33?
This game was no contest, nokhor blew us out early. I tried to slow him down, but he just laughed at me and brushed me aside.
He is clearly a masterful player. |

Well, only if one were to want the results posted in a factual manner. Edited to provide 'factual' information. That's embarrassing.
He does seem to have found a groove in this game. Not that I'm keeping count (well, I guess I am), but that's 9 victories over 12 tournament games for Nokhor, including two finals. |
