Very tight at the top. A win or second for Ezebig in the remaining Santiago game (which is too close to call) will mean there is a tie between three or four players for two or three spots in the final.
In the event of a tie I specified that games would be removed in alphabetical order. I meant this to be Amun Re removed first and so on, but with some players having more than one of each game this would have to be applied in a slightly contrived way - ie removing game A1, A2 etc until each player has one game less.
On this basis mongo loses 2 points (game A1), Gaditus loses 0 points (game A3) NoMoreCheese loses 12 points (game A3) and Ezebig loses 2 points (game A3). This means NoMoreCheese would drop out of the top four.
However, I feel slightly uncomfortable with this method as I didn't specify it well enough, so (although I did not mention it in this particular tournament) I intend to use head to head results (ie considering only those games in which tied players played against each other). This means that if Ezebig comes 1st or 2nd in the outstanding game, mongo and NoMoreCheese will join Ezebig and Pompkin in the final.
To avoid this confusion in future I will specify for all future tournaments where there is a doubt, each player's 1st (and 2nd etc if necessary) game(s) will be removed in order (ie Amun Re game 1 etc) to break ties. |

Still one game to go, but the important result is in. Petįr, Payton3434 and kekweb managed to consign Ezebig to last place in that game, so I scrape into the final. |
