What makes the "New Msg" designation go away, particularly on finished games?

I have a number of games with the "New Msg" tag -- typically congrats and other post-game chat -- but no matter how many times I read it, the designation seems to stick around -- even if I sent the message myself. So I keep going back to see if somethings been added.

I don't usually have this issue in active games. Is there something I need to click to clear that?

hmm. Could be a browser problem?
New Msg goes away for me once I've read it (Firefox 3)

Hi Carmilla,

I have had the same problem (Firefox 3). From just testing now, clicking on the games' name tag will process the new message as having been read but clicking on the "New Msg" tag does not.

You have to have looked at the message while it appears above the game 'board'. Not just on the messages page.
