Finally – it’s underway – our first 2, 3 and 4 player tournament of Tikal.

Certainly there could be many ways this could be set up – how many games – how many points for the 2,3 and 4 player games – shouldn’t I get more points for first place in a 2 player game than being second in a 4 player??!! So since this is my first try to put all three (2,3 and 4 player) in one tournament - and I am not aware that has been done before on SBW – let us all see what happens and maybe find some things that we can improve the next time!

Here a short review what the rules are:
Each player has 6 games. Three 2 player, two 3-Player and one 4-Player game. For winning a 2 player game you will get 4 points, for a 3 player game you get 6 points and for winning a 4 player game you get 12 points - that means in each category (2/3 and 4 player) you can get 12 points - all together that makes a maximum of 36 points if you win all 6 games!!
For a second place in a 3 player game you would still earn 2 points and in a 4 player game 5 points!

I have to state that “brionz” is not part of the draw even he/she signed up for it – unfortunately brionz had no competed game on SBW at the time the draw was done and only one 2 player Tikal game as a current game – I welcome again brionz to SBW and I am certain he/she can join a new tournament in the near future.

Make sure you create all games “End-to-end Worker Movement” and please do not choose the Auction version – all tournament games are “NON AUCTION”!!!

Please create all games with the Password: tournament!
Please cut and paste the game name when creating the game (e.g. T4GSGame20) and put the players name in the comment line.

Fortunately I had some help out of England to proof read this draw – which was greatly appreciated since I was very bussy with my almond harvest lately – but please everybody make sure that you have three 2 player, two 3-Player and one 4-Player game.

First Standing after 10 games have been completed: BryJones is leading the pack after winning a 2 player and the first 3 player game. Toutoune scores second so far with two wins ( 2 player games). Fritz is third with a 2 player win and second place in the 3 player game!

Daily update: Smlait is the first to finish all 6 games - with a very good 24 points out of them (one win in each categorie (2,3, and 4 player) and one second place in the second 3 player game)!

The only person so far winning all three 2 player games is lefty! But he lost his first 3 player game. That means almost everybody has lost some game so far and it looks unlikely that anybody will win all 6 games! - Fangio has still a chance to do so and of course Alashar and Powermorph
who havent finished any game yet!

Daily Update: Fangio finished first in his 4 player game and has now already 20 points after only 3 games!!! Alashar and Powermorph still havent finished any game

Less importantly, without having played a move since Almondralf did the table, I have magically completed 2 games. The rest aren't far away. I'll get them all moving again later tonight after a lack of time yesterday.

Daily Update: Fangio won also his 5th game !!!!!!! - and it looks like he has a chance to win all 6!!! - I am considering to cancel the final (best 4 players) if he is the only one who wins all 6 games!!
Lefty and myself shared the win in our 4 player game and I awarded us both 12 points - I guess thats common procedure!?

I would have thought common procedure was that you split the points for first and second, and the third place player gets third-place points while the fourth place player gets fourth-place points. But your way seems fair too, and it wasn't specified ahead of time how ties would be handled.
