Apart from one game in division 5, all other games are complete, many having finished weeks ago. It is unlikely that all games in division 9 will be finished by November 15, which was intended to be the final cut off date.

I have looked at some of the gamelogs and it appears that bop and ats both had breaks of about 10 days (one after the other to exacerbate the problem). However, there is one game with neither of those players involved which has not yet finished. It appears that there are other causes of delay as well. Although some of it may be down to unfortunate time zone clashes, the division is so far behind this can only be partly to blame.

Having noted that StanislavTikal is the only player not to have completed any 3 player games, I have looked more closely at his play. In the game in question he took more than 24 hours on 8 occasions including more than 48 hours, 4 times. This has a higher cumulative effect than the aforementioned 10 day breaks.

I have decided therefore to request that anyone who knows they will be on a break of more than a week to sit out the season. If they do not, and it causes a problem (they might get away with it if they are otherwise fast and no other players in the division take a similar long break), then I will suspend them from the league.

In division one, our current champion, Darius had a 10 day break but was able to finish in time, partly because the other players are generally quick.

ats and bop will not be suspended this time, but should consider themselves as being on a warning. StanislavTikal should also consider himself to be on a warning, and if he is unable to speed up will, unfortunately be suspended from future leagues.

I intend to start season six at the weekend (a little early as the season will run over Christmas) so if you are likely to be away for more than a week (I'll allow leaway between Christmas and New Year) in the next two months then please sit this one out.

arkibet stopped playing the final game in division 5 because he didn't receive a 'your turn' email. As there have been a number of problems with these emails, please don't rely on them and check every so often if you have games running.

(Although the game has been delayed and may well not finish in time, I don't intend to suspend or even warn arkibet this time.)
