In just two short weeks, we'll kick off the annual Adel Verpflichtet/By Hook or By Crook/Hoity Toity PBEM tournament on SpielByWeb. If history is any indication, we'll get about 40 players who'll each play 5 preliminary rounds (starting every 3-4 weeks) followed by semi-finals and a final. I will mail a plaque to the winner. It's too late to join Round 3, but Round 4 will start on Dec. 3rd. You wouldn't have any realistic chance of advancing to the semi-finals, but you'd be more than welcome to join for the last two preliminary rounds. The tournament has entered semi-finals (after the five prelimiary rounds). Congratulations to Greg Thatcher, Dom Glennon, Marc Houde, Derek Landel, Raphael Lehrer, Mike Read, Kevin Wojtaszczyk, Thomas Browne, Arthur Field, and Matt Leader who are the ten qualifiers!

The next tournament will start on October 1st, 2011. All five preliminary rounds will be played simultaneously this time around!

The main change will be that instead of running the five preliminary rounds sequentially, we'll run all five games for each player right off the bat simultaneously. I hope you'll all join the action!
