Twit gets past Kanga to secure the 3rd spot in the Semi's against brennus. Hard luck to kanga, was always going to be a tough qtr.
Is there a map change since we could start it already if you like? |

Well done T_T on making the semi's. It will be new maps for semi & final, and I'll put the semi out on the weekend - the final QF should be started by then as Djura's 2 games are nearly complete. |

Djura did beat Games and appears to have a significant lead in the 1st round game against Joshuaaaaaa with one animal card left.
Djura and IBX can start their QF game:
Map: 523 Variant 1

Deathmatch 2 QF A IBX (1) Djura (9) |

Djura / IBX game underway - we are up to third round and will look for opportunities to play quickly at my end... I know IBX always does! Cheers, Djura |

With the last QF underway, I'll admit the map for the semi did give the first player a bit of advantage, especially with 13 markets. I've double checked the maps for the semi and final and should be more even.
It looks like Djura is attempting to make up for lost time, and has the ideal opponent to do so - hopefully should have the second semi underway later in the week.
Semi Final draw below - games to commence when you're ready.
Semi Final
Map: 465 Variant 1
Password: deathmatch
Deathmatch 2 SF A Djura (9), andyp (5)
Deathmatch 2 SF B Total_Twit (6), Brennus (7)
Good Luck all.

That's the fun of a single shoot out game, definitely has a chance especially at this stage in the tournament.
Looks like both semi's are at a similar stage, so I'll post details of the final next weekend. |

I've contemplated running the 2 player league again, next time I have a spare hour or two I might look into setting it up again. |

Yeah, I let the league die - got way too busy to run it over the past year, and it got hard because a good 30% of the people who participated in the lower leagues left the site or played terribly slowly.
I have standings and such if somebody wants to take it on. I think there might be a better way to run it than the league format, although that was fun - but something that takes into account the fact that people leave and play slowly. Maybe if I could automate the matchups, we could get a 2v2 thing going that worked well over time. |

I think the knock-out format is quite fun and doesnt require too much effort to run. I'll probably look to run a nil-variant 'deathmatch' to start in July (assuming Djura and andyp have finished their semi by then ).
I do enjoy the 2 player league, there was only a couple of games left but as Dobinator said, a lot left the site with the demise of Amun Re. I think the league format needs each round to start on a specific date (every 2 weeks?) irrespective of matches completed. If the league started again what to do with Brennus, andyp and Total_Twit as they clearly shouldnt start in the bottom division. |
