|
|
All,
I am proposing to run a new type of tournament that will be a medley of
1 round 2 player
1 round 3 player
1 round 4 player
With eliminations at each stage. however I might also start running "plate" tournaments for those that are eliminated at the first stage... (may even try this with the current tournament just in progress)
all those who would like to sign up to try this new tournament concept then say so below, I've got no idea if it will work yet and the format may depend on how many people we get to sign up....
p.s. a little later I may set up the next season's 2-player league |

I'm in. Awesome idea about a hybrid tournament. I prefer 3+ player games, but a mix of 2 and 3+ games would be fun.
in that format I would recommend a scoring system that awards points to 2nd and third place finishes in 3, 4 player games. In the 3 player tournament, some of the games got boring when a single player took an insurmountable lead. Points for second place would have helped that. |

always good to mix it up a little as there are slightly different stratergies with diff number of players - more variations and more tactic options the more fun. |
