One player has 65k+ money after buying a canal while he didnt have enough money.

Can you please fix this?

yes this does seem to be a bug. Any ideas why this would happen?

That bug has been there for years - there is an ongoing bug in Hacienda too. I don't think they have the time to debug. Sad

So how do you deal with it? Just keep playing knowing one person is going to win? Or does that person bid 65500 for a tile?

Never had it come up the few times I have played Santiago. Dunno how to overcome it.
