Also, could we limit the map selection to those already used in this tournament: 70 74 106 179 246? |

yes, ok limit the map selection to those used in this tournament for plate, unless it's too late and one has been created. any preference on this for the main final?
i will look at ties later |

I was referring to both the plate and the main final. |

sry, I have been a bit slow responding to some of these comments.... trying to manage too many things at once
I would like to remove the aggressive water block tie rule (especially since I didnt really define what aggresive was anyway ). I agree that waterblocking is a valid tactic and agree with your point about the V2 games... in a V12 i'm not sure water blocking happens that much anyway
I guess my aim was not to encourage overuse in finals, i have just occasionally seen overuse spoil one or two games, in V12 games I dont think it's a problem anyway.
this means ties will now be split of % of win ratio
also happy to restict final maps (both finals) to only the ones used in the tournament |

very tightly contested tournament has just finished....
in the game that I chose as a V12 map 589 (one of the V12 maps), Kanga just edged it to finish ahead by 3 pesos from a level scoring Faticus with myself in last which i thought was a little harsh on faticus who was looking like favourite all the way until the last round.
the next game to finish was faticus's choice, which was the tricky map 246 created by dobinator where you never quite know whether to go for land or markets I managed to clinch the win by getting to all 14 markets which is quite hard tricky to do on this map... again faticus coming up short by 4 point with only 12 markets with one or two tough blocks on kanga who'd won the first game....
so to the decider.... Faticus being still very much in contention with his two very well deserved second places and whoever won this game won the final and tournament.....
It was a V0 and at half time it looked like the match was between myself and faticus with a 13 point lead over kanga... Although kanga won the second half with a good comback it was faticus who clinched it by 3 points and a very desrved first tournament victory... welcome to the exlcusive club of champions!!!!! you're playing at a time when the compitions is pretty tough too! looks like we have a new contender within our ranks guys!! |

Thanks Twit. You and Kanga are Hacienda legends, and I will need quite a few more tournament wins to join that ciub. I'll be taking a spiel break for a couple of months but will be back by the end of the year to defend this win.
I can't say this enough: thanks for organizing these tournaments. |
