Is it possible to simply change the hilghlight of the selected Province for the confirmation screen?

A bright green or cyan hue would definitely help you to see that you had selected the right province without having to do a lot of recoding to get the bid boxes into the map.

The following may be a simpler workaround for the free farmer:

Instead of putting the choice to play the power card ABOVE the line where you select the number of farmers, put it to the left of the line and shift the whole line over, but only when a power card is available. That way the visual indication would pretty much hit you in the face. A 1st time player might get the order wrong, but it would never happen again.

Depending on how the code is written, this may be trivial or difficult.

Another 'solution' to the free farmer problem.

Make it a positive decision to not use it.

Currently it looks like :-

You may play a Free Farmer power card now (this must be done before buying farmers below).
Select the province to apply it to: [Thebes] | [Sawu] | [Abu] or make a selection below if you don't want to play it.

Change the second line to

Select the province to apply it to: [Thebes] | [Sawu] | [Abu] or [none] if you don't want to play it.

Holy cow, Stargate! I had no idea that anyone else in this gaming forum knew anything about such an eclectic but very cool game as Cosmic Encounters! My old gaming group (most of whom are players in this forum) used to play that game all the time. It would be awesome to get an online version of that game to play with old grognards like us. If you know of something and are interested in playing, let me know, cuz I could start us a group of six or so players instantly. We are sooooooo looking for new blood (or old blood that loves that awesome game -Mayfair version, of course (or not).........

I think it would be much better to have the auction bids show up IN the provinces, like they do in the in-person game.
***However, that need not change anything for the people who do not want it. Why not make it so that you enter your bid in the table (as it works now), but it registers in the provinces (so you see it there before you confirm)?
