Wohoo! Thanks all for joining, I hope we have a great comp. Here are the seedings:

So, the 1st round groups are as follows:
Group A: sedge, andrew6261, brianlcarr, Payton3434
Group B: Rebelslayer, cterrell, Wolfpack, danbar1963
Group C: almondralf, kxw, stargate, Fenris
Group D: SunLion, Bogey, tphon, lindalait
Group E: smlait, Alashar, lefty, toutone
Group F: Vinny, matrix, klingone, Big
Group G: gische, Gaditus, JM, Pompkin
The players whose name who appears first in the groups (ie, sedge, Rebelslayer, almondralf etc.) now need to create 4 passworded games for the rest of the group to join.
The name of the game should be:
Tikal Tournament (Group) (number)
ie, I'll be creating 4 games titled
Tikal Tournament Group A 1
Tikal Tournament Group A 2
Tikal Tournament Group A 3
Tikal Tournament Group A 4
The password for all games will be " tournament "
Once each game is completed, the winner will PM me the scores from the game and once all 4 x 7 games have been completed I'll post the results.

The first results are in!
I wasn't planning on posting any interim results but you could knock me down with a feather because I just had to post these given how tight it was. After an incredibly close Group C contest all 4 players were tied on 10 points!
kxw was the first to proceed on first tie-breaker conditions (most number of 1st placings)
The 2nd entrant to proceed couldn't be decided on number of 1st or 2nd placings - both were equal - so it unfortunately came down to the average scores.
almondralf over the 4 games had an average score of 89.
stargate had an average score of 88.5
(note that Fenris, who got culled as he had no wins but lots of 2nd and 3rd placings had an average score of 91.75)
So, the first 2 players through to the next round are kxw and almondralf. Congratulations!
Condolences to stargate and Fenris for being so close, but unfortunately the tiebreaks had to be determined by some method. Thanks for playing and good luck with getting a Wildcard entry to the next round! |

Thanks, and congrats on the successful players to the next round!
3 of the 7 groups have finished playing their matches, and most others are getting close to wrapping up.
When you send me the results (I don't mind if you PM me, post against this thread, send the results individually, or collectively once all games are complete, whatever), rather than just the total points for each player, could you also send me the scores (and resulting placings) for the games - I need these to break ties (and to determine the lucky wildcards!)
Of course, I can always just ferret them out by trawling through the Games Completed no real problems, but if you could send me these details too it would be appreciated.
Once all Groups are complete, I'll post the results...... |
