Ok, let me say up front that when I first came to this site I screwed up big time and held up a game of Reef Encounter for *weeks*.

I was wondering if it would be feasible to put a timer in a game, so if the game was an "eight hour" game, a player would have eight hours from the time the notifying email was sent before they were auto-skipped for the next player.

Just a thought.

Automatically skipping a player sounds good at first, but it totally screws up the dynamics of the game. Resources don't get used up or become available, turn orders can get messed up, etc. I think skipping a player would be as bad for the other players as just stalling the game.

cuase them to be unable to take a turn for a week or longer
