|
|
I appreciate having the "BGG Hit" link to log played games in under my account once they're over. But I believe that on occasion I've logged the same game more than once by mistakenly clicking a second time on the link, or by refreshing the window the link opens.
Maybe the process could be automated by simply logging the game in automatically once the game is over for all players who've identified their BGG handle?
<edit>
Or alternately, an option in the profile page might automate logging. It just seems like the feature would be used more if it were made more convenient and less error-prone. </edit>
Just thinking out loud...

I only log face-to-face games on my BGG games played list. I'd prefer not to have this feature automated. |

No, I would have to stop playing here then because I only want face to face games logged. |

What about a checkbox in your profile, unchecked by default? Then those who want the BGG hit automated could turn it on. Of course, you'd have to be logged into BGG at the time your game ended, and BGG would have to be up, which is not always the case of late. |

What I would like is for the BGG hit option to grey out if you have used it. That would stop the double hits. That way if you wish to log it you don't have to worry about logging some twice, and it will be a transparent change to those who don't log the game. (Should be fairly simple to implement as well) |

I asked for something similar a few months ago (having the Log at BGG disappear after use), but your idea of graying it out works just the same. |

I like the greying out idea. |

I think hitting BGG up every time you play a SBW game is a ludicrous idea. We are not playing physical copies of the game, why would we want to report it? All we are going to end up doing it skewing the games-played statistic for specific games on BGG... |

You record what games you want to record and we will record what we want. Only a small percentage of people are recording anyhow. Some record all their games played from BSW, that has the potential to affect the stastics even more than SBW.
For me, I record any game I play against a human opponent, online or in person. I use the statistics out of personal interest, as many other do. |

I also agree with a grey-out option. If the database could just set a flag on the click to log, I think that would solve it. _________________ Kevin Devine

Once you report a game to bgg the link will no longer show up. See announcement for more details. _________________ ---------------
