| DH has some days off towards the end of the year and we want to go on a trip. DH wants to take the SKs (SS10 and SD8), I don't really want to. It would be the first time taking them on a week-long trip. In the past, we would go to the beach or hike 3-5h away from home and they already don't want to be in the car for a short amount of time. I don't think I would enjoy taking them. |

Yep, it was a bad idea to go on vacation with the stepsons. I am very sorry that your vacation was ruined. These are not your children, and you don't have to spend time with them, besides they are teenagers. If you ask me, you should talk openly with your husband about this. Otherwise, this problem will continue.
On vacation, I like to relax and not worry about anything. I don't like the feeling of tension. My husband also has children from his first marriage, but they do not go on trips or vacations. It's just my husband going on vacation and me.
Recently we were on a wonderful trip to Europe by train, and I can't imagine his children with us. It seems to me that the vacation would be ruined.
