I have been looking around for topics on a factory key replacement for my HDJ80. I went to my local Toyo dealer and they told me they simply couldn't do it there. The key is pretty unique I guess and they neither have the blank nor the cutting tools. I have the original VIN matching key blank that came with my cruiser. Any ideas? I have not heard back from Toyota yet. Their customer service seems to be lacking.

No, it wouldn't activate the alarm, but getting a spare key is a good idea. Having a spare key is excellent. You don't know when you can lose the key and run out of it. I had a situation like that. I thought I didn't need a spare key because I'm conscientious, and won't lose the key. Well, I was wrong. One night I went to a bar and lost my key. I was very panicked because I couldn't open the car to go home. It's good that my friends were with me and called https://mylocallocksmithtx.com/grand-prairie/. They came immediately and helped me unlock the door. Then I got three key reserves, haha. Now I feel safer.

I still don't understand why they can not make you a new key, what exactly the problem? I know that the key for the HDJ80 is pretty unique, but if you contacted the manufacturer directly, but they should be able to help you. To be honest, after your story, I am disappointed in car, I think they could advise you. Okay, I'll give you my friend's page, he has his own Key cutting service, they'll do whatever you need. All they will ask you is the VIN code to cut a new key + proof that you are the owner of the car. I have been using their assistance for a long time and can objectively assess the quality of work, everything will be done perfectly , I promise.

I have a LAND CRUISER and also had a problem with the lock... It seems that this is a frequent breakdown of the owners of this brand. The case of the ignition key on my hundred broke. There is a chip blank in stock. But alas! We don't have specialists in the city to get her out. Many people say that they cannot clamp this blank into the machine, but the Chinese brothers tried to do it, and after five minutes of their efforts, I heard: "I'm not half-asleep, I can't!" Friends advised me to buy a new case. But this will not solve the problem because the sting of the key itself is soldered into one part of the case. I.e., replacing the case is inappropriate here. So there was a problem, which the master from the company helped me to solve https://mylocallocksmithtx.com /.

For factory key sets it's better to contact an emergency locksmith company, there you will find original factory sets for your auto door locks.

Consider contacting a professional locksmith for your HDJ80 factory key replacement. Locksmiths often have the tools and expertise needed for unique key replacements that dealerships may lack.

Visit first your local dealer for a factory key replacement for HDJ80, if they couldn't do it. Then key must be unique, and they lack the blank and cutting tools. If you have the original VIN matching key blank, Car Keys Maker might be my next option.
