|
|
I’m working on launching a barter campaign with influencers in Dubai where I’ll be offering free products in exchange for social media promotion. This is my first time trying this, so I’d love to hear any advice or tips you have for making it successful, especially here in Dubai.
What’s the best way to approach influencers? How do you make sure they deliver quality content? Any legal or cultural tips for working with influencers in this region? |

A good tip is to choose influencers whose followers are actually your target audience. For example, if you’re in fashion, choose influencers who are big in the Dubai fashion scene, but also have a good engagement rate with followers that fit your customer profile. Sometimes micro-influencers work better because they have a more focused and loyal audience.
As for legal stuff, just keep in mind that influencers need a license to promote products in the UAE, even if it’s a barter deal. It’s better to double-check that the influencer you’re working with is compliant with that. |

Barter campaigns in Dubai can be really effective if done right. One thing I would suggest is to research the influencer’s past campaigns. See how well they’ve performed with other brands – you can even ask them for case studies or examples. It’s a great way to make sure they can deliver what you need.
Additionally, in Dubai, the cultural aspect is important. Ensure the content doesn’t clash with local norms, especially in areas like fashion, lifestyle, or personal branding. Some things might seem fine elsewhere, but in Dubai, there’s a certain level of modesty expected in certain sectors. |
