I'm glad to see that the dead Reef Encounter game I was in has been removed from my games list. But why is it listed under my profile as an abandoned game? This implies that I was the one that abandoned it, which is entirely incorrect.
Now I get to wait for my other dead Reef Encounter game to go away. This game seems particularly likely to attract people who never come back...
Anyway, thanks for making some progress on this issue. |

I just noticed that I've also been penalized for abandoning a game that ended due to somebody else not ever taking there turn. Any idea if these false statistics are going to be cleaned up soon? |

The abandoned game isn't allocated to you, it just records that you played in a game that was abandoned. Whilst the number of games played is a factor in the rankings this is important. Anyone who checks the game out will see that you were not the guilty party. People who abandon games are barred so you would not be available to play if you had been the culprit. _________________ It's not the winning, it's utter annihilation of your opponant that matters. |

What you say is logical, but unless people are as savvy as you are, they may not drill down far enough to see who abandoned the game. They will just see "abandoned game" on the player's profile, and make the obvious conclusion.
I did this (made the wrong assumption) when looking at my own profile - it was only because I knew I hadn't abandoned a game that I checked further - if I had been looking at someone else's profile, I would have seen "3 abandoned games" and thought "time-waster". I hate to think that others are thinking that of me.
It is the language that is at fault - if "abandoned games" was changed to "dead games" or "unfinished games", it would be harder to misunderstand.

I agree, I had the same confusion. Since I know I've never abandoned a game, and I'm still alowed to play, I figured it was just the number of abandoned games where I was one of the players. But it did throw me for a loop, based on the wording. |
