There is a player who has logged on, joined 11 games, completed none of them and keeps logging on to the site changing his vacation settings (from 1-3 weeks back-to-back-to-back...). I believe he's done this 5 times in a row now. I've PM'd him 5 or 6 times to no avail. I even sent him a couple PMs on BGG where it's clear he's logging on to that site regularly and even managing to input his games played. So it's not as if he has no access to the web or time to play. I'm not sure what his behavior is all about, but it occured to me today after I saw he logged on AGAIN and changed his vacation settings for another 2 weeks...following a 1 week vacation...following a 3 week vacation...and on and on. In fact his last vacation was set to expire 10/16, and he just logged on this weekend to change it to 11/14.
He is clearly violating the vacation feature so he won't be kicked off ... but he won't play his turns either. It seems he did log on 10/15 and play one turn in one game. All the other games have been stalled since mid-September. I wanted to address this with one of the Site Admins to determine if there is a way to detect this? Maybe a PM or email from one of you will draw the ferret out. Will the games or player ever be abandoned?

I especially like how he joined another game in mid-October, only to stop taking turns again. Seems like this is a recurring theme with idiots who join then refuse to take turns for whatever reason. Perhaps if more people were publically humiliated for this behavior it would decrease the frequency! |
