In the second winter, is there any reason for a player to use only some armies to defend against revolting farmers?
I think this part of the game could be automated, so every player automatically puts up a full defense. It would speed up the endgame.
Thanks for this great version of Wallenstein.

Hm, I see now that with multiple grain revolts, players also need to choose the order of the revolts, and I can imagine situations where players wouldn't want to pass up that opportunity.
I guess there's no way around this.

It should definitely be automated when players only have one revolt, and thus no choice of order of revolts. |

Even with multiple revolts, it should be automated. I'm pretty sure you don't have a choice in the order of the revolts. It only makes sense that as the program decides each revolt province, that it go ahead and defend with the maximum number of armies. This would speed up the game at the end. THERE IS NO NEED FOR USER ACTION IN 2nd YEAR REVOLTS. |

There is indeed a reason to choose the order of revolts.
Let's say I have two revolts to deal with.
Scottsville - 4 armies, one peasant uprising.
Bruceburg - 1 army, two peasants uprising.
Let's also say that I have two armies in the cup. Obviously I'm going to want to deal with the revolt in Bruceburg first, using the advantage of having armies in the cup. If Scottsville were resolved first, I'd be losing that advantage. |

You do. I just finished a game where that exact scenario occured and I only held the weaker province because of strategic use of pieces in the cup. |
