Let the controversy begin. At both WBC ("World Boardgaming Championships) and Prezcon, the winner in a tie game is the one with most unused workers. A reasonable tiebreaker.
After that, at WBC at least, they use a completely idiotic 2nd tie breaker.....the winner is the person that scored the most in the last turn. I say it's idiotic because in the auction version, the game is DESIGNED to "assist" the person in last place by scoring first and presumably, scoring more than the 1st place player who scores last. It peanlizes the leader.

Bogey,
we have been here before, as you well know.

Why have you started this again? You were wrong last time and that hasn't changed.
How the WBC (their own self-styled title, I believe) choose to implement house rules is up to them. SBW play by the official rules which allow for a draw. Live with it. |

Freduk: Chill out. I was just stating how WBC and Prezcon handle it. I don't give a rat's about ties.
I"m fully aware that this has been discussed before but many don't read old posts. Maybe there is someone out there who is running a mini tournament and needs a tiebreaker to determine who advances. Certainly the entire Tikal world doesn't revolve around this great site:)
As far as commenting on the "2nd tie breaker", I'm playfully jabbing at some friends on this board with whom I've discussed this issue.
Sorry this has fired you up. It wasn't intended that way. |
