|
|
Hello,
I have small question: who's the winner and why in the situation, when the final scoring of both (or more) players is equal?
Please look here (sorry for copy/paste technique, I have not enough posts)
http://www.spielbyweb.com/game.php?games_id=25965
I (Seeker) was the winner - but why me? Is this because I have more points from temples than 'daremniak', while he has more points form treasures?
Thanks in advance.

It is a draw. You have both been credited with a win. There is no tie-breaker in Tikal.
In the "normal" completed games list, there is only room for one name. If you go to your completed games list (the one in your profile) you will see that both players are highlighted green. |

Well, you're right. I've checked together with 'daremniak'. In both our profiles we can see our nicks green highlightened as we open link "Games Completed:". While entering "Your Completed Games" link there's one winner presented. Interesting is that when 'daremniak' enters "Your Completed Games" link he can see that the winner of the game (id=25965) is "Seeker", not himself.
Probably, if there's a draw, the system shows on this page the name of that draw-winner, who is first on the left in the sequence of players.
Thanks for remarks.

It would probably be a good idea to alter that page to show <tie>, or both players' names, or one player's name and an asterisk or something. This question gets asked a lot... |

Yes, this has been on the to-do list for a while, and from looking through the past year's posts, looks like it should be moved up in priority. |

Was making some other changes to the games list so I took care of this quickly. |

Stargate:
don't you get it....I posted that as a joke. I didn't think anyone would actually take the bait. That's why I typed the "LOL" at the end. I suppose sarcasm doesn't trasmit well over the net.
Then again, your reply to my reply of the original post may too have been written with tongue firmly planted in cheek in which case my most recent reply containing sarcasm ie this one, would have been in reply to yours which contained sarcasm which was in reply to my post which orginally was a joke. Funny how things may or may not have worked out.
