I find I get tired of a game after a while - Amun-Re took me just over 50 games, Hacienda took over 100 (more different maps I guess). Some games like Ticket to Ride and Carcasonne I don't seem to get sick of.
What do others find? |

Yes ... it seems to take between 6-12 months break for me to be interested again! |

All of the different maps of Hacienda keep me interested.
Tikal I can only play a game or two at a time to stay interested.
I got severly burned out with Puerto Rico. I used to play that with buddies every time we got together and online. I can't even think about looking at that one for a long LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
...just my two pennies. |

Yeah, I took a several month break from Amun Re and Santiago. Tikal and Hacienda have yet to burn me out though.
I don't get burned out on any of the games I play in person - but I play games a *lot* less in person than I do online (less time to play and a big enough collection that nothing can make it to the table often enough for me to get tired of it). |

I find if I enjoy who I am gaming with the love of the game is still there, however I burnt out on Reef Encounter long ago, likewise with Tikal. Amun Re I still enjoy, however I am burnt out on how long the games take (30 days on average). Hacienda has kept it's spark since their is a variety of maps, however the maps that end up with land buy races (especially face down ones) have me staying away from those.
Having too many games going at the same time burns me out also, as the game becomes more mathematical than game play.
I tried to post once - where/how do you play - but I got one of those SBW "your message has been sent to hell" prompts so I never reposted it. So I'll throw it out here.... I usually play on my notebook with built in wireless at crazy places - airports, restaurants, during business meetings, at red lights, watching TV at night, and sometimes driving on single lane roads, and then sometimes I get a few hours straight at home when I can play. I find I do much better when I am playing from home, rather than while out and about.
So is Rebel announcing a sebatical? |

Mostly, I play either at home or at work (on my lunch break or if I've only got 10-15 minutes before a meeting/class).
My real-life copy of Hacienda is also suffering neglect as Linda and I play so much here that we just don't feel much need to break it out. I think it's seen maybe 3 or 4 games? (But it does lie flat!) |

Yes ... I plan to give Hacienda a break for a bit ... I will have to try Tikal a bit more and see if Amun-Re is re-burnt out from the tournaments or not.
Since having out second child I have played few board games, mainly ticket to ride and some texas holdem poker. Far more online (here and BSW). I play most of my games at work between patients and at night if I get up to give the baby a bottle I can't go back to bed without playing few turns of something! |

It won't be the same for a while then.
Luckily my kids have all grown out of the mid night feeding stage.
I'm up for some 2 player Tikal if you want some fast games.
What is BSW? |

I've been lucky so far - I've only played Tikal on this site, and always enjoy playing. |

Don't you see that some games are just made to make people compete...and I like that! The spirit of competition really drives me on. No matter where and how all I want to feel that pleasant feeling of victory and success. And here I've been doing these for the past ten days. Wanna see who's the best? Let's meet in the game and see! |

I myself didn't play BTC blackjack at first, I only watched my friend play it and thought he only lost money playing it but as he continued to win, I thought I might win some btc as well and invest them in further business, so now I'm learning to play it, feel great, ready to beat somebody...in blackjack I mean |
