Basically the idea is this:
You can add players to ignore list. If they are on your list they cannot join any game you create. You cannot join any game they are in. If they join a game that you have joined (but didn't start), you automatically leave that game. Actually this last bit should be configurable.
Please vote as follows:
- If you would use such a feature or wouldn't but understand how others might want to or simply don't care, vote Yes;
- If you're opposed to such a feature on SBW, vote No. |

Maybe he can't because there's someone in each of the tournament games on his ignore list? Oh wait, that feature hasn't been written yet. |

I agree with stargate - it's the whole quiet/fat/slow kid in gym class who's made to feel an outsider. |

I can't believe that many of you are so insecure about being excluded you have to force people to play with you. |

There is no requirement to play with anyone, unless someone is holding a gun to your head JUST DON"T PLAY!! I'm fairly confident that the admins of the site will refund all of your money from joining and you can start your own gaming site with your rules. Till then, just get over it. |

How do you see who voted for what?
I voted for Yes because I don't really care, but think others would want it. Obviously with all the posts and discussions on filtering players there are a lot of users who want something done about players who don't play fast enough or abdonden (sp?) games. I personally haven't really run into that problem. |

one survey includes the issue of reality ... that every change take time to code and test ... the other survey looks at the idealic situation where there are no restrictions on time for coders or even ability to code what is being discussed, or the availability of a player willing to join a game where their position will often not be great.
As polls go, the Rebelslayer's poll shows out of 49 people, only 5 want something to be done.. Isn't the Point---what is the reality of these new options being accomplished with the Free time the Amin's really have to please a few. With each New Poll we are getting further away from the Reality of time needed to do these things when Most of those that Voted are ok with how SBW works ??
I am just try to make sense of all of this discussion. |

Oh dear.
"I voted for Yes because I don't really care, but think others would want it" What you should have done, if you had no view, is not vote. that way the vote would reflect those people who had a view.
Also, because there are 3 or 4 threads on this subject, you have assumed that a lot of people want this. If you go back and read the threads, you will find the vast majority (go on, count them) AGAINST these changes.
You can't see who voted for what (secret ballot), but you can make some educated guesses from the comments people leave. |

Actually I voted as the original poster wanted. I don't care and think others would want it, so voted YES. |

Yes ... and the original poster is one of two main characters pushing for these changes!
And the comment from one of them that my poll was worded to be pointless.
The fact that you voted yes for something you aren't interested in shows that this poll has no value! |

I am in a lot of games and have found amazingly few players who are a real problem. So saying, there is one (Tyler Kai) that I have run across who did abandon a game and I am in favor of passing the word around to ostracize the fellow. I do not, however, want the designers to fix a problem that is not a real problem. Rather, I would like to see more games like Cayless (spelling?) This is a good community and I am not in favor of pushing it to a Nazi death camp for players who take advantage of the play-at-your-own pace feature. Some have real lives and should not be excluded because others (like me) do not. If that were the case, there would be a lot less players to fall to my axe Seriously, though, this is an awesome site and the huge majority of players seem to be good gamers that are good sports! Let us not create restrictions that would cause it to become less..... |
