More then a year ago there was a wallenstein tournament, that took more then a half year to finish. Are there players interested for playing a tournament that (hopefully) won't take that long. I'm planning to start in january and finish in march. Depending on the number of participants offcourse. If you would like to join please respond.
greetings,
Marc |

IMHO, 5 is too much. 3-4 is better. |

I may be interested, but it would depend on how the tourney was set up. If it was like the tourney last year, where we all played one tourney game at a time, yes. If it's set up like the current Hacienda or Santiago tourneys with each player in up to 6 games at a time, no. How were you thinking of organizing it? |

Everything is open. I think four people in a game max. and two games at the same time max. are fine. But maby it's also fun to play a knock out system where you play your games with two players. Like i said, i hope you all will respond with your own ideas and than i will formulate a tournament proposition in the last days of this year. |

I'd be interested if the games were 5 player only. |

IMO, the four player game suffers from unequal player positions (more free provinces near some players than others) and the three player game is a very different game of power balance...
With a five player game no one has completely uncontested areas.
Is this planned to use the basic or random setup?
I think Wallenstein has a significant luck element. There's not many moves or battles per game, so individual events can turn the game one way or another. It'd be interesting to see how this influences a tournament (especially in 5-player games).
BTW, I'm interested also. |
