I admit that I didn't really think through the ramifications of choosing the maps that I did. I only chose them because they were small and seemed to be made for 2 players. |

After a somewhat exhausting battle, I have claimed victory by 2 points over Tphon in the last Quarter-final to face IBX in the semi's, while Almondralf plays Powermorph I believe?
Games, are we starting a betting sheet for who's favourite yet? I know who my money would be on, but it's very difficult to judge yourself when you're still on the battlefield, so maybe a poll or something? Just for fun / interest, of course. |

Hey Guys,
I'm swamped with work and other projects right now...
I simply don't have time to look through the results right now. Can one of you guys take over?

The Semi Final draw is:
2p Deathmatch 1 Semi A almondralf vs. powermorph
2p Deathmatch 1 Semi B rico44 vs. IBX
That's the easy bit, what about the map? I could suggest a similar map to the previous rounds (symmetrical to avoid favouring the start player and similar size) if nobody has any objections. I'll give it 24 hours and then post the map if none suggested.
In response to Rico's betting, I think I can safely keep my underdog tag |

How about one of last rounds losers posts a choice? Rebel, Tphon, Borisumi, Yahkeh?
Then a semi-final loser can post the map for the final, would seem fitting I think.
But sure, if no-one comes forward then I'm happy to proceed with your choice...
As for underdog tag, I'm not sure about that!! Perhaps least experienced, but we know you're pretty good already, you'd have to be to get this far!! IBX is of course extremely experienced, and I'm somewhere in between. Skill-wise though, I'm not sure. Almondralf is the one I would not want to face at this stage though, I still don't know if I want you to beat him or not, lol, since that might mean you'd be even more difficult to beat should I manage to triumph against IBX... |

By the way, if Games is a little tied up with work and things, does anyone object if I open invitations to start a 2nd deathmatch?
If I get 3 replies in the next 4 hours I'll set it up, how's that? |

Ralf is clearly the frontrunner and favorite to win. The rest of us are probably pretty even odds. |

I'll play, but since most people are probably no longer subscribed to this thread, I doubt many people will see it. You might want to start a new one. |

Really? I have a vested interest, so feel free to ignore my opinion here, but I'm not a fan of this map. |

Sorry... I can't please everyone. It fits my criteria for this tournament -- less land, and less markets.
I've been going through the maps sequentially and this one was the next one after the last map that seemed to fit my criteria.
My goal was to also use some maps that we don't often use in other tournaments. |

I assume No Variant and password = deathmatch (as before). Semi A is set up and waiting for the tournament favourite to join (any chance of Ralf buckling under pressure?). |

Given how many top seeds have fallen, I'd say the chances are pretty good! |

Both semi's now completed. I believe IBX saw off the challenge of Rico44, and I have completed another upset. We're ready for the final map to be confirmed. |
