Current ladder, with the first players finishing their 7 rounds, others stuck back with only 4 finished.

I've taken a couple of guesses at almost certain winners to make the ladder look as complete as I can.

In my last completed series, smlait handed me my first loss of the season in one of the closest series I've ever played. In one of the games I defeated her comfortably, but she won both of the other two games on a money tie-breaker.

updated ladders

League A is stalled with cps playing sporadically in the last couple of weeks. My game with Djura will eventually happen.

League B: as seen above Games had a very narrow loss to smlait, which leaves a very tight finish between Games and Early. Early has to win his last two games against lindalait and gische, if he does that he takes out the League.

League C sees thiery just needing to win his last match against kxw. He leads 1-0 at the moment.. Should kxw provide the upset result IBX will win League C.

League D is very close as well. Dobinator and tphon are on top with 5 wins and 1 loss, SunLion has also only lost one game so far. tphon is playing SunLion in the last round, while Dobinator plays Wildfire.

Dobinator holds the box seat, as he's won one more game than tphon, and won their match up so would be winner if they end up tieing on matches and games won. However last round loss (or even a 2-1 win) will potentially change everything.

League E has magnus and rico with only 1 loss, with the results of the last 2 rounds being the deciding factor here. magnusb is 1-1 in his last match against NoMoreCheese.

League F sees hermes88 in the box seat with 6 matches and 17 games won. However if BenthamFish wins his last two matches 3-0 he will win outright, or if he wins 5 out of 6 games he'll win on a tiebreaker. BenthamFish is 2-0 in his R5 match currently.

a couple of updates:

magnusgb lost his last match against NoMoreCheese, elevated rico to top spot. rico is 2-0 ahead against Payton, the win has been added into the ladder below.

lindalait leads Early 1-0, remembering Early needs to win his last 2 matches to win League B.

congratulations to thiery'en'sarjant, our first League winner in season 2. After defeating kxw 2-1, theiry is the only player to have won 6 games in League C.

thiery is obviously the ultimate match player winning ALL of his matches 2-1! Interestingly enough he won all of his variant 2 games, which means he was only 50-50 in the games with scoring at the halfway mark.

thanks. I guess I got a little bit lucky as a good few of the games were decided by just a point or two.

Maybe in future we should make this an all variant 2 league Laughing

It's looking like a photo-finish in our League F. I suspect that three of us will end up 6:1, and quite possibly each on 17:4 games.

Kanga: do you have some rules for tie-breaks in these circumstances?

if 2 players are tied then it's the result of their individual game that matters

if 3 players are tied then I'm stuffed! I suspect I'll have to call it a 3 way tie.

danbar needs to win his last match 3-0 for that to happen.

unless 1 of the 3 players beat both the other 2 players in the 3 way tie.... and assuming you don't re-rank the 3 players based just on their matches against each other, if it really makes a difference to promotion/relegations. Just thinking in case I end up in this situation, which I'm bound to now I've questioned it. Very Happy

By the way, I have to offer congrats to Magnus. He's the only one who's beaten me in a game (and 2 at that!) so far, but now he's handed me a winning chance, thanks! Wink

To be honest I think Kanga had a tough job placing all the newcomers between E & F with so many unknowns. After playing a v1 game against hermes and losing out by not a narrow margin I'm tempted to say league F was at least as tough as league E, but it's so hard to tell. How is season 3 looking, do we have more people or less so far? How far away from finishing are the slowest games of season 2? Questions, questons, lol, but many thanks to Kanga for the hard work hosting this for us all, you do a great job with difficult choices! Smile

Season 3 signup thread - I haven't even looked closely yet. I'll make a decision on how I do the new season's leagues based on number of players who are staying on. New players can start at the bottom end, everyone else I'll try first for a relagation system. However if more than a couple of players leave then that wont work very well, and I'll do what I did last season, which was some sort of strange ranking system Smile

I'd doubt there'd be much difference between Leagues D, E and F this season.

I'd say a three way tie would be the way to go....

They'all all 1-1 with 3 wins and 3 losses against each other... unless you wanted to have a 3p game as a tie breaker, but that wouldn't make much sense give this is a 3 player league
