Thinking about it now, the scale of the battles and the strategic planning involved were almost like trying to manage a really complex simulation. I've been dabbling in some game development lately, and it makes me appreciate the work that went into creating something like Wallenstein even more. It's funny, actually, because one of the brainstorming sessions I had was about creating a silly, chaotic game involving a herd of animals and it reminded me of the massive battles in wallenstein.. something like crazy cattle 3d, but with more strategic elements! It's a long shot, but maybe I'll be able to recapture some of that Wallenstein magic, even in a completely different genre. Thanks for the nostalgia trip! |
