I’ll be in Cyprus next month for a week and I’m trying to figure out the best way to move around. I’ve heard public transport isn’t very convenient, especially if you want to explore beaches or small villages away from the main towns. I’m thinking about renting a car, but honestly, I’ve never done it abroad before, so I don’t know where to start. What should I be aware of when it comes to local rental companies, insurance, or even driving rules there? |

You’re right, public transport in Cyprus covers only main routes and doesn’t really help if you want to see hidden spots, so renting a car is definitely the smartest choice. Just keep in mind they drive on the left side of the road, which can feel strange at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I’d suggest checking trusted online platforms rather than dealing with random local offers when you arrive. For example, you can take a look here to rent a car in Cyprus https://getrentacar.com/en-US/cyprus |
