hi I know this may appear a silly question but i will ask, if someone makes it to a market -
1)does it take that market out if you get a herd to it first
2)the market does not pay for that type of animal for any other player i.e each market can only pay on one type of animal?
3) or does it not matter and you just get points for geting herds to the market and just need to get to as many as possible ?
thanks in advance for taking time to read and anwser this question

question 1 -- other players can use the market for both market
connection points and income
note --- market connection points are for each different market
and income is different for Variant 1 games --
for Variant 1 income see the rules -- they are very good on the subject
question 2 --multiple players can connect to the same market using
different animals types
question 3 -- market connection points are just one of the ways to
score points -- other ways are land chains, water, haciendas and
money at the end of the game ---
you need to combine these elements of the game to score
as many points as possible
I suggest you use the standrard scoring game to learn how to play
before moving onto Variant 2 or Variant 1 |

You get points based on number of distinct market connections. It doesn't matter how many times you're connected to a given market, it only counts as one market connection for purposes of scoring.
You get income each time you connect to a market with an animal. The amount of income depends on the size of the animal herd, the size of the land chain connected to that herd (slightly different in Variant 1). |
