|
|
I'm in a game where I think my money total is going to be very important at the end of the game.
http://www.spielbyweb.com/game.php?games_id=62311
In the last round, I connected two pigs to a market that I already had pigs connected to. And the herd was connected to my ginormous land mass. But the payout I received was only 3 pesos and 4 pesos.
Am I missing something? It seems I should be receiving a LOT more payout than that.
Can anyone please take a look and let me know what they think? I'm not really an expert on Hacienda.
Thank you.

Could it be a variant?
Variant 1
Market Change
When you bring a herd to Market use the following formula for pesos received: . Multiply the number of animals in the herd times the number of lands that the herd borders on. |

it a standard scoring game and it is a bug in the coding
it happens on custom maps when small land chains are connected
into a larger land chain
placing an animal on a different market or different hexside sometimes helps
there are not many options for this in the subject game |

Thanks for the reply, Bob. Unfortunately it looks like this problem is going to continue. I tried placing a horse in the top right and I only got 2 pesos.
Last round I lost out on 86 pesos!!!
If I continue, it appears I will lose out on 42 pesos per animal tile. And that's all that is left in this game.
How should I proceed? That's kind of a huge difference at the end of the game.
Thanks again, Bob.

I seem to remember Kanga saying that he would adjust results for tournament purposes where this happened. Whether Games wants to go to that trouble (which is probably more than he bargained for when he suggested the tournament) I am not sure.
In practice you should win the game anyway shouldn't you? |

I'm generally not obsessive about counting points during the games. I prefer to think of them as fun, so I just follow my strategy and stick with it to the end: in this case, it was rack up as much money as I could.
The game is over now, and I did manage to win, so this topic is no longer necessary.
Thanks for everyone's input and suggestions. I will be much more aware of this from now on!
