|
A couple weeks ago (or so) I started noticing several changes in the UI that I thought someone else would report if they were seeing them too... but apparently not... could be because I'm not using one of the top 2 browsers (IE or Netscape)... I use Opera v8.5
Changes I've noticed are:
* on http://www.spielbyweb.com/yourgames.php?lang=E
for games it's my turn on my username is no longer displayed
in a different color (it used to be in red, and bold I believe)
* on Hoity Toity game displays borders around the cells and game
board are no longer displayed. This makes it harder to tell which
cell each players cube is in along the track.
* on Bus game displays, it doesn't seem to be much change
* on Amun-Re game displays the cell borders around the
Province Auction table are not displayed
on all game display pages, the backround is white instead of yellow.
My guess would be some CSS changes were made?
Thanks!

I'm not seeing any changes like that in Firefox 1.5. (Which I highly recommend, by the way....) |

No such problems in Mozilla 1.7.12 (Linux-i386), but of course, it uses the same rendering engine as Firefox. |

No, Opera is not evil... IE is (it's part of the evil empire after all). Opera was the 1st major browser to offer a tabbed browsing window, and is still mighty fine (not to mention all the nifty shortcuts).
In any case, I should have noted that I did try IE, Firefox, Netscape 7.2 and 8.0 (beta), and all appear unaffected. But not ready to swith browsers yet...
... just wondering if anyone else using Opera has noticed a problem, and whether anything actually changed a couple of weeks ago or so... |

This morning everything seems back to normal... borders are there, background is muted yellow again, name is in bold red when it's my turn, etc.
I can only assume Mikael changed something so thanks Mikael!

I haven't -- haven't touched a thing (other than data) on the live site in at least a couple weeks. |

That is why Opera is evil. It behaves randomly. As a designer I hate it, because its never quite accurate in rendering things the same each time. Firefox is a better alternative. I used Opera for a while, but its just not up to par with the latest Mozilla offerings. _________________ ---------------
