In the first action in Summer of Year 1, one of my armies was in the cup during doho's turn. in the same action, During Alfred's revolt, my army seemed to be gone. I thought it was a display bug, but in my first combat, Move B, no armies from the cup got added to my attack:

moved 4 armies from Bm. Zweibrücken into unoccupied Erzbm. Trier, but the farmers are combat weary
-- 4 of hibikir's attacking armies plus 0 from the cup and 0 defending peasants plus 0 from the cup go into the tower
-- 4 of hibikir's attacking armies and 0 defending peasants come out of the tower
-- The attack succeeds: 4 of hibikir's armies occupy the conquered territory and 0 return to the supply
-- 1 of alfredhw's armies and 1 of yorick's armies remain in the cup

Where did my army go? Did Alfred steal it with his well known sleight of hand skills?

It would have been tossed into the tower during Alfred's revolt, and must have got stuck in there as it didn't come out into the cup...
