In keeping with its speed of play as a very fast tournament, the Tikal Oktoberfest semi-final game ended yesterday, 17 November, after less than a week of play. The result looks like this:

Before you start wondering what happened to Greg and (uda, who are both very fine players, it would help to know that because this was an elimination game in a tournament they had to fight each other for 2nd place after JT took an early lead. All that fighting left JT alone in a strong position while they attacked each other and weakened themselves. Take it from the horse's mouth, JT won't beat either of these guys by 44 ever again 
The UNUSUAL thing about this game is that there was a tie for 2nd place, with both players having deployed all their workers on the board. According to the rules I posted last month this situation means that ALL 3 players move on to the final championship game  Maybe not the best rule but it led to an interesting result.
So off we go again. The final game between Barra(cuda, gregyako and JokeToy, @TKO-Final, started up yesterday. No doubt we will crown a Tikal Oktoberfest champion next weekend
