It's easy
Laying parquet on an old covering is within everyone's reach. You don't have to be a professional to do it. Today click installation systems allow everyone to install parquet. And for more elaborate poses, you can call on a professional.
It's easy to maintain
Whether varnished, oiled, or waxed, parquet is easy to maintain. Depending on the finish, vacuuming is enough to dust it off. Cleaning is done with a broom and the appropriate product.
It's clean
Forget the dust and mites of your old carpet with parquet. It is the totally healthy and antistatic solution for your interior.
How? 'Or' What ?
The laying of parquet on an old floor covering obeys certain rules. The laying method and the type of parquet selected vary and depend on the original support.
On a tile
Tiles, stone or marble floors can be covered with laminated parquet, in panels or strips. However, the substrate must be properly prepared, with a degreasing, scraping and then gluing operation. The laying of the parquet will be floating or glued.
On a plastic floor or carpet
Often glued, these floor coverings are not easy to remove. The simplest solution is to simply lay a laminate floor on top, floating installation. |

Actually, wooden floors can raise the value of your house. When I was looking for a new place, I noticed that all real estate agents were highlighting that the house had wooden floors. |

I see it's been a while since this topic was discussed, but I just wanted to add that I’ve had a similar experience and found that adjusting my approach made a big difference. Have you tried changing up your strategy in a way that focuses more on long-term planning rather than reacting to each turn? I’d be curious to hear if anyone has found a method that works consistently. |

I ran into the same issue and found that adjusting the board thickness made a big difference. Using 3mm plywood instead of something thicker helped fit everything together more smoothly without forcing the pieces. It also made cutting easier and reduced splintering. |
