This is a follow-up to my Top 40 list last month. I realized that it was going to be too much work to try to do these rankings on a monthly basis (the pages load too slowly). So, instead, each month I will look at what players are winning the most and at the best win % for the month. These stats are from July 6 to Aug 3.
Most Wins:
stargate 29
mrbassx 17
Sparrowhawk 12
BoneDigger 11
Rhelik 11
markmist 8
rix_cz 7
Tough as Nails 6
klingone 5
mimoo 5
Best Win % (at least 5 games played):
Sparrowhawk 85.7%
rix_cz 77.8%
markmist 72.7%
mrbassx 63.0%
laevus 60.0%
t_o_m9 60.0%
klingone 55.6%
Dans 50.0%
Tough as Nails 46.2%
mimoo 45.5%
Other comments: Stargate's pace of games played is truly astounding! Stargate played 69 games since July 6, and won 42% of them which is much higher than his 25% winning pct going in.
Sparrowhawk is Tikal's hottest player, with 12 wins AND an 86% win pct since July 6th. Amazing!
Rhelik has also had a major spurt of games played winning 11 of 29 after only winning 6 of his first 39. Quite an improvement!
Mr.Bassx continues to win at his usual pace, winning 17 of 27 games played.
rix_cz has proven to be Tikal's 2-P game expert. I tried a game against him and was leading after 2 scoring rounds. But I got mauled in the last scoring round! Ouch! Can anyone beat this guy at 2-P?? |

Thanks for the nod. I got to say that Stargate is a brute to play against. Even when he is behind he pulls off a win. Mr. Bass is the same way, I've been contributing to their win streaks all month. However, both are great opponents to play against.

DALCOW01 --the game is very easy to play
you do not need the rules -- but you may be able to find them
on BoardGameGeek
and any of us would be glad to help you learn to play
I suggest you start a 2 player game and list the game name
and password on this thread and one of us will join you
also use the end-to-end worker option

Yes Bob, you are right. But what if he wants to play Tikal not just over internet and buy Tikal in the future? He will miss END-TO-END option ))
DALCOW01: rules and moving with worker are easy.
There are rules:

It would be interesting to see updated stats reflecting the auction variant now that it has been out there for a little while...
The auction games are so much slower - but they can be so much more rewarding as well. I am juggling 11 at the moment - not really hard when a game can take up to a month to finish! |

I have to say, while I do like the auction variant in f2f, I find it to be unbearably slow on sbw. It takes forever for anything to happen, even with engaged players. If you ever get stuck with a slow player, it might take a year to get through a game. |
