I've been following all these games for a while now, so the game looks secondary compared to what Animal Crossing: New Leaf was. When you've done half of what you wanted to do, the biggest drawback is the lack of significant upgrades. All the events are a few outfits, some action items, and some house customization, and that's it—an extremely high emotional entry threshold, especially for someone unfamiliar with the series.
